mansard victorian
Cambridge, Massachusetts
This complete renovation of an 1850’s Cambridge mansard featured intensive interior millwork and trim work, coffered ceilings, a kitchen / great room with custom herring bone Rumsford fireplace, a walnut library, a round two story sitting room, and a paneled billiards and playroom. On the outside, new field stone walls, terrace, and plantings nestle the house into a generous Cambridge site. Copper and slat roofs on the addition complement the exiting mansard structure of the main house.
