colonial Restoration
Cambridge, Massachusetts
This complete renovation of an important 19th century Cambridge Colonial involved careful restoration of historic parts of the house, along with substantial renovations, updating of the services, structure, mechanicals, and systems. The project is marked throughout by respectful attention to the character of the original house. Newly renovated kitchens and bathrooms flow seamlessly into historically preserved dining and living rooms. The top floor features entertainment rooms with a huge open game room and built-in home theater. This project also included renovation of a separate free-standing carriage house into a guest suite, garage, and rock climbing gym. Finally, the landscape was completely renovated with formal patios, hidden gardens, and beautiful plantings throughout.
